Ghosts of Our Pioneers:
Investigations into the Paranormal

Like many people, I have often wondered what happens to us when we die. Is that the end or is it merely another chapter? Is it the end of walking the earth as mortals or do we return as someone else with a different name and search for the many lessons we must learn before we ultimately take our place with the angels? Those questions and others deepened when I lost someone dear to me. I had to know what was waiting for us once we took our last breath. Then I read an article about a medium who visited places seeking answers beyond the grave. While the article read as if the writer wasn’t a believer, an idea sprung to mind and I contacted that medium. I wanted to shadow her and her team and write a book about what they discovered. I would research the places and those that lived there, then present it so readers could make up their own minds. Her response was quick. She not only agreed, but also said that she knew I would contact her even before the magazine containing the article had hit the stands.
That adventure started in 2007 when I was invited to the first investigation held at J Ward in Ararat. For over two years I travelled from one investigation to another collecting sound recordings, taking notes and photos, and researching every angle and possibility. I encountered things that I certainly didn’t expect, but cherished every moment. The medium and her team became friends, and I discovered the answers to many of my questions. With those answers brought contentment and a deeper understanding of life and what follows death.
I presented the team’s discoveries, my research without bias, and posed questions for the reader to ponder – it’s all in Ghosts of Our Pioneers: Investigations into the Paranormal. I can’t tell you what to think or believe, but if you have questions and want to explore the possibilities then this book may help you discover those answers like it did for me.
An extract of the book was published in Inland Splendour, a tourist magazine, which is available for you to read.
